Inside the Venue: Here East

Here at Smart Group, we’re proud to be associated with some of the top venues in London. The portfolio of venues we work with includes a range of different spaces, some historic, some modern, some traditional and some a little quirky. In our new ‘Inside the Venue’ series, we’ll be giving you a guided tour through all of them, one by one.

Starting today with Here East, we’re going to be telling you everything you need to know about this incredible event space, available for exclusive hire at Smart Group.

Here East is an innovative venue in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. Once the press and broadcasting centre of the London Olympics, this building has been redesigned and converted into what we know now as Here East, encompassing a versatile and well-equipped events space for all kinds of occasions.

Voted ‘Best Conference Venue’ in the 500 – 1300 capacity category at the 2018 Conference Awards, Here East has certainly made its stamp on the events industry already.

A total capacity of 1000 with a seated capacity of 800, the usable venue space inside Here East measures at 2385m² in the reception area and the separate theatre area measures 1276m², meaning this venue can offer two generously sized areas for events to take place.

As well as two indoor spaces, Here East also boasts a spacious outdoor terrace with unbeatable views of Canary Wharf, the perfect location for summer parties and drink receptions.

Thanks to production specialists, Hawthorn, events can be brought to life with lights and sound when hosted at Here East, with a variety of packages in place.

A conveniently located venue in a central area, Here East is surrounded by fantastic public transport links such as the Stratford International train station and tube station being close by, three different bus routes passing the venue and easy access for taxis and cars.
